This is a question for those who enjoy language puzzles. I do, but, usually muck them up. This person, 鬼室 貞仁 I have rendered in romanji as Kishitsu Teijin, Teijin meaning 'righteous man'. The Kishitsu clan came from Korea (Gwisil Shipsa in 663) and was an ancestor of the Kikuchi of Higo in Kyushu. In Korean they were known as Kwisil or Gwisil. My puzzle is what is Teijin in Korean and how would it be pronounced? John

Whew~~~ finally something I can answer.

Gwisil Jung In.

The last name Gwisil is no longer in exsistence in Korea, Jung In (Taijin) is a popular name, it has a same meaning .... to look the right way, learn the right way.... 'righteous man'

Hope this helps.... Joe
