tbonesullivan Posted January 11, 2022 Report Posted January 11, 2022 I would concur on HIROMITSU. Is that a late war pattern P-1944 Shin-Gunto? Looks just like the one I handled previously. As with that one, the mei and nengo were on the "wrong" sides of the tang. Quote

Expand I've seen a few where the matching number had lacquer or varnish applied over it, which turns orange over time. Quote
