Ko-Umetada or Umetada Iron Tsuba

Just cleaning up study pieces.

UP for sale is a Ko-Umetada or Umetada iron piece.

Sasano Golden Book and other books seem to consistently list them as Ko-Umetada to Umetada, so I take that to mean around Momoyama.

 

They are straight forward iron tsuba, often of a flower design. Very functional.

Size is about 7.1cm to 7.2cm round. Thickness between 4 and 5mm.

 

See pictures. Ask Questions. Some surface rust on the seppa dai of one side, that I have not cleaned up.
