Thanks Matt,

extra pics added for future reference and interest in this thread.

These are better, so the colour of the scabbard, and patina of the handle is much more evident.

Very nice and Minty sword, (not Mint......but damn close! -for John's benefit)

There is no doubt this is a fine example and saying it is near mint does not cheapen the definition at all. If a collector had to have just one NCO in their collection, this one would be very difficult to upgrade.

I don't think so, Bruce. The horse shoe goes to about 700. This is outside the range and the plug is too thick to have the curve of the horseshoe.
