sabi Posted November 1, 2021 Report Posted November 1, 2021 A mokko gata, solid plate tsuba with nice life to the shape and surface. 83 x 77mm, 3.5mm at the nakago ana (which itself is quite large, indicating this was mounted to a sizable blade), just over 4mm at the ever so slightly raised rim. Stamps are of "kaze" (wind) along with a mitsudomoe, which is not often seen. Very nice iron quality with great color and tons of character. Tembo guards of this quality are uncommon compared to the waves of mediocre, late Edo pieces out there, and to find an ubu example is a nice bonus. Condition doesn't leave much to be desired, pics in high and low light included to show it as thoroughly as possible. Priced to move at $350 shipped to the USA. International buyers please contact me before committing so I can provide you with a quote. *The bag is not included, just used for a photo backdrop* Let me know if you have any questions or need additional pics. Thanks for looking!
