Toryu2020 Posted October 28, 2021 Report Posted October 28, 2021 Does anyone here use a Library App to track their books and media? I'm especially interested in a system that supports books in foreign languages EG; Japanese. Any help appreciated... -t Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted March 21, 2023 Report Posted March 21, 2023 @Alex, quote: "... the options are virtually limitless." This got me wondering. If reality is limitless, would it be true to say that virtual reality is virtually limitless? 1 Quote
DoTanuki yokai Posted March 21, 2023 Report Posted March 21, 2023 I think the future of virtual reality will be a real-time AI generated world for your needs. But first programmers will replace themselfs with AI what I think is hilarious People that order their food on a daily basis destroying their own economy and poison themself with cheap full of sugar optimized gen food. (yea the same stuff that makes apples stay longer fresh is what people react allergic on) While the next generation get lost in trivial apps and internet pornography. (Also this will be Ai generated and has already started) But I’m cool with it it is like Ernest Hemingway said: There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man(AI); true nobility is being superior to your former self. But back to topic. I don’t know of a specific app to track your media but a simple database or excel could work for me. 3 Quote
Toryu2020 Posted March 21, 2023 Author Report Posted March 21, 2023 I'm using LibraryThing and it is great for books published in English with an ISBN but it is hit or miss with books in Japanese and anything without the ISBN has to be entered manually. Slow going but going... -t 2 Quote
ckaiserca Posted March 26, 2023 Report Posted March 26, 2023 I use https://www.librarycat.org/. It is powered by Library Thing. Great for books in English, as I don't have books in any other language, I don't have any experience on how it works with them. Personal accounts are free. 1 Quote
YOSE Posted March 30, 2023 Report Posted March 30, 2023 I use Zotero, but mainly on my PC. The mobile versions are still unknown to me. https://www.zotero.org/support/mobile 1 Quote
zanilu Posted March 31, 2023 Report Posted March 31, 2023 This is my preferred one, maybe a little bit nerdy... https://www.jabref.org/ You can manage file in .bib format for LaTeX and other formats as well. Runs on Java and thus there is no mobile version. Regards Luca 1 Quote
