Barrett Hiebert Posted October 21, 2021 Report Posted October 21, 2021 Good day, I’m deliberating as to purchasing this suit. https://samuraistore.com/collections/life-size-armor/products/n015 I’ve been told though that the mail isn’t riveted. Mr. Kirita tells me that the mail is butted and secured to the underlying fabric as per historical samurai armour construction and assures me that none of the mail will become undone with use, though I am wary. Any thoughts? I was actually going to use this to run around in and train my body differently. Thanks. Best regards, Barrett Hiebert Quote
Luc T Posted October 21, 2021 Report Posted October 21, 2021 Dear Barret, if it is for training purpose, it can be usefull without the sode and maedate. Focus on the Momoyama armors. Flexibility and weight will be of primordial importance. The mail will nOt cause too much problems, except when you start using it against real pole arms or swords. Quote
Barrett Hiebert Posted November 2, 2021 Author Report Posted November 2, 2021 Luc, Thanks for the reply. Actually purchased this one. Getting it custom when my upper body is proportionate to my lower body. Still recuperating after an injury. https://samuraistore.com/collections/life-size-armor/products/l004 What do you think?
