Maker location?

I believe the last 2 characters give the makers name Morikuni (not 100percentsure!)

but cannot make sense of the first 2

Looks like 肥後 Higo from here…?

maybe Higo (no) Kami Kuni ______  you might look up makers with that title with first kanji of name Kuni

that’s great to know so are we saying the last character is unreadable hence the makers first name only??

I found limitations and kunisje through Google these are around 1660-70 I believe

Looks like

肥 = HI

後 = GO

守 = KAMI

國 = KUNI

?

It looks like someone cut the end of the blade off, as well as the second part of the smiths name. Higo is a province, Kami is a title, Kuni is part of the smiths name, like Kunimasa, Kunitomo, Kuniyoshi, etc.
