Looking to get this translated by anyone that can help.. It is a World War II era that I have an offer to purchase for 1000. Mounts and swords seemed to be in good shape

Hello Nick - your photos are upside-down, but still readable. 藤井兼音作 It means "made by Fujii Kaneoto".

 

If you search on this site for "Kaneoto" you can find other examples of his swords.

Thanks! Anything particularly desirable about his swords? Not really into newer blades but if the price is right so be it..

I don't know much about him. I'd just be digging around on the internet for info (and much of the available info is probably already located on this forum in one of the older threads.). Does it come with a military scabbard in good condition?
