Sakura Chuso release button

These sometimes show up on Kyu Gunto and Type 94 and have often wondered what the significance was? Some examples below:

I think it may be just a fancier option. The normal chuso button is also a sakura, just not as flashy.

I imagine it screws on as opposed to being welded on. I have a kyu-gunto with a plain large brass button that unscrews from the retention clip.

Quite unusual markings, too.  The decimal after the “F” seems to indicate the letter is the first of a shop name, maybe.
