Looking for the translation for this piece if at all possible , any way to clean this up ?   Oil and bone ?   or oil and let it be?

It's a little difficult to tell from these images but my first reaction to this one is that it is a casting.  What do you think?

Looks indeed like a cast TSUBA.

Thank you all for the information ...   Right now there is an exact match for this tsuba on ebay    add says Antique iron TSUBA with landscape  by famous soten  ,   so must be a cast reproduction??? I dont know how to put a link  for the add

there is a saying about SOTEN TSUBA: When you have 100 SOTEN signed TSUBA on the table, there is a good chance that all of them are fakes (= GIMEI). 

If you search a bit in books and on the WWW, you will find pictures of authentic SOTEN TSUBA which might give you an idea of good quality. And if they have papers and a price tag on them, you will understand the difference!
