Stephen Posted May 19, 2021 Report Posted May 19, 2021 Cant be just a bracelet can it? There's a hole under his chin that looks like it might serve a purpose also. https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/n507340569/detail 1 1 Quote
ROKUJURO Posted May 19, 2021 Report Posted May 19, 2021 Depending on the measurements, could it be a KODOGU item for a SAYA or a NAGINATA pole? 1 Quote
b.hennick Posted May 20, 2021 Report Posted May 20, 2021 Over 200,000 yen! I liked it but not that much. 1 Quote
16k Posted May 20, 2021 Report Posted May 20, 2021 I trust you gentlemen it’s a kurikata, but if so, due to the weird shape, how was it attached to the saya? 1 Quote

MHC Posted May 20, 2021 Report Posted May 20, 2021 That is simply too cool...wonder what happened to the other pieces needed to complete the Saya in that theme? I saw photos of another very old and elaborately fitted Saya some time ago, that was along a similar theme, but can't for the life of me recall where??? I tend to like simpler style fittings, but when you see something like this....well what can one say, other than marvelous! Mark 1 Quote
