Infinite_Wisdumb Posted April 11, 2021 Report Posted April 11, 2021 No papers If thats a "near mint" Saya, im Peter Pan Is the blade "Near mint" in the boards opinion? https://www.ebay.com/itm/224412458202?ul_noapp=true Quote
Jwrussell Posted April 11, 2021 Report Posted April 11, 2021 I dislike any "mint" descriptions when dealing with Nihonto. They do not translate and are pointless. IMO they are simply used to attract/distract ignorant buyers. My inexpert eyes say the blade isn't in terrible polish, but not great either. And yeah, the saya is far from any understanding of "near-mint". Quote
NewB Posted April 12, 2021 Report Posted April 12, 2021 Far from mint, unless the spots are a reflection, Although the signature looks 👌 (based on my limited knowledge)! Nice Kyoto example overall with oozing Mishina school hada but pretty 'depleted' boshi as it appears to me! Cheers. John Quote
