Scripps Posted April 6, 2021 Report Posted April 6, 2021 Thoughts on this little sword, great gunome hamon, was made like this not converted in my opinion. Signed 近江山人 Ǒmi-sanjin Hermit of Ǒmi . Just over 8 inches long total Quote
Grey Doffin Posted April 7, 2021 Report Posted April 7, 2021 Hi Scott, With the terrible nakago, sloppy horimono, weak hamon and iffy boshi I think this is most likely made from a piece of a longer sword sometime shortly after WWII and aimed at the occupation force or tourist market. But I could be wrong. Grey 1 Quote
John A Stuart Posted April 7, 2021 Report Posted April 7, 2021 I like the idea. A hidden weapon under guise of a pipe case and tobacco pouch. I agree in that it looks like a shard has been married to a surplus case. John Quote
