Okan Posted April 3, 2021 Report Posted April 3, 2021 Hi, I've made another topic about this sword a couple of days ago..I believe my pictures wasn't sufficient to identify the sword so i made a new set of pictures while cleaning it Please take a look. Quote
Rivkin Posted April 3, 2021 Report Posted April 3, 2021 Definitely Edo period, but need two more pictures: detailed macro shot of hamon (with a camera looking from a side) and boshi. Then one could possibly identify the smith and date very accurately. Quote
DoTanuki yokai Posted April 5, 2021 Report Posted April 5, 2021 Kanbun yokoyama sukesada is my guess, but I can’t see the Boshi and a picture of the hamon at the hamachi would help Quote
Japan2112 Posted April 6, 2021 Report Posted April 6, 2021 Kanban Shinto sounds right - ubu, very little sori with a great looking, wide, hamon. A lot going for it. The mune machi looks slight, as if the tang was shaved to fit it into a tsuka. Quote
