I saw a lovely example ( a little larger?) at an antiques fair last Monday, and the dealer wanted 25,000 JPY. Unusually, it had a small vertical rectangular window cut through the seppa-dai, indicating a second life on a 20c military sword. The rim was an iron fukurin, and I could not decide whether it was beaten out from the edge, or added later. I have two tsuba with this 網代 'ajiro' basket weave, but in limited patches, not throughout each side like that. Quote
