Mark Posted March 19, 2021 Report Posted March 19, 2021 Mihara: Wakazashi. Mihara. NBTHK Hozon paper. Koto. Nagasa: 54.8 cm. Kasane: 6.3 mm. In good polish. only negative is opening under habaki, it does not show when habaki is on, it was probably shortened to place it where it would not show. Silver foil habaki and good shirasaya with ivory inserts. $1100 less than half restoration cost and enjoy it now instead of waiting 1 Quote
DTM72 Posted March 19, 2021 Report Posted March 19, 2021 Mark, Do you have a website of items for sale, outside of NMB? EDIT...Sorry, just saw that you partner with Grey...I know his site very well. Thanks! Quote

Curran Posted March 20, 2021 Report Posted March 20, 2021 $300+ for the silver cat scratch habaki $250 to $500 for the NBTHK papers, depending where / whom submitted it. * In polish*. ko-mihara. --Good school and at least 520+ years of age. Mark, this is borderline a charity gift to somebody. [Be sure to get a charitable donation slip, as tax deductible for 2021.] 1 Quote
Mark Posted March 20, 2021 Author Report Posted March 20, 2021 thanks Curran, i think it is a good deal, but paper says Mihara not Ko-Mihara I put Koto in the title as someone asked for Koto blades Quote
DanielLee Posted March 20, 2021 Report Posted March 20, 2021 Great deal, my very first sword was a hozon ko-mihara katana at $7000. A good yamato den example Quote
Marius Posted March 23, 2021 Report Posted March 23, 2021 May I remark that it seems just slightly suriage and machi okuri? Then again, hard to say without the sword in hand. An excellent offer, BTW. Quote
