stamped steel tsuba

Hello chaps, 

Ive picked up a WW2 surrender tag showa sword with this steel tsuba with what looks like the Government Mon stamped 5 times into surface , any thoughts? 7.4cm x 6cm x 3mm thick

Thanks Chaps , yes thought the "flowers" were shorter than the Government seal , so family Maruni Gosan Giri Mon ? is there some significance to the tsuba being stamped  numerous times as seems random, blades showa stamped but assuming tsubas earlier.
