bigjohnshea Posted March 3, 2021 Report Posted March 3, 2021 I'm the owner of this blade and the new price (pending site update) will be 13,000$ http://www.nihonto.us/NOBUKUNI KATANA MORI.htm Note, the hozon paper was lost by the previous owner, but can be re-issued if sent back to Japan. Phenomenal blade... Juyo quality if only the rules were different for shinsa. Will consider trade up to 4000$ of the deal if a trade Cheers! John 5 Quote
ChrisW Posted March 3, 2021 Report Posted March 3, 2021 A very handsome blade John! Forever out of my price range though. Congrats to whomever picks this one up! Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted March 4, 2021 Report Posted March 4, 2021 That is one spectacular blade, John. Hope it goes to someone who will appreciate it. Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted March 4, 2021 Report Posted March 4, 2021 Agreed! Just to add clarity, this is from the great 毛利 (Mo-ri, Mohri, Mōri or Mouri etc. 'long ō sound') family of 長州 Chō-shū. (Not the 森 Mori family of Gifu and Tsuyama.) Quote
bigjohnshea Posted March 4, 2021 Author Report Posted March 4, 2021 Thank you for that clarification Piers! Quote
raynor Posted March 7, 2021 Report Posted March 7, 2021 Biting my fist. Don't want to pull out of the stock market these days and probably would not survive the wife's reaction, though probably less then her shoe budget judging by what I see when gazing into the depths of her closet. If this one lingers I might crumble, it just ticks so many boxes. Good luck on the sale! 2 Quote
bigjohnshea Posted March 8, 2021 Author Report Posted March 8, 2021 Thank you Omar! There is a lot of interest in this blade. A lot of emails coming at Andy apparently. 🙂 Quote
bigjohnshea Posted March 12, 2021 Author Report Posted March 12, 2021 There has been a lot of interest in this blade but no offers. I am flexible on price, and if people have an offer in mind please do not hesitate to make it to me or Andy. This beautiful blade needs a new home. 🙂 Cheers! John Quote
Fuuten Posted March 13, 2021 Report Posted March 13, 2021 I believe this is what people refer to as 'flying tards'. 1 Quote
Markdd Posted March 23, 2021 Report Posted March 23, 2021 Didn't know that this dealer was on this forum ?I sent them a e-mail about a sword purchase[ not this sword] and never received a reply, so I went elsewhere do you have to be known to them before they will deal with you? Mark Quote
Japan2112 Posted March 24, 2021 Report Posted March 24, 2021 Mark, If you are referring to Nihonto.us, Andy Quirt is a fine gentleman and helpful dealer. I will say that there was a spell a time ago where Andy had some lapse in communication, but that is not typical. P.S. - I saw that Nobukuni sword in person a few years back - indeed, stunning. Quote

Hi, yes it was Nihonto.us it was about 7 weeks agoI was interested in the item number KK0511 it was at the top of my budget but I really liked it but as the page has no add to basket or anything like that I sent a E-mail don't know if he got around to reading it or what .
