School: Jakushi
Material: Iron with nunome zogan
Theme: Chinese landscape
Size: 72 x 66mm
Comments: Signed 'Jakushi' (若芝) This tsuba is typical of the Jakushi school in terms of theme. However, whilst Jakushi tsuba are usually solid iron plates, this particular piece is done in Hikone-bori. It is highly likely that this artist was influenced by the Soten school.

School: Myochin ?
Material: Iron and silver
Theme: Toad skin (gama-hada)
Size: 82 x 76mm
Comments: The indentations have been masterfully applied to form distinct shapes on the omote and ura. On the omote, the area around the seppadai forms a circle, and the indentations create a crucifix (+). On the ura,  the area around the seppadai forms a square, and the indentations create a cross (x).
