Jussi Ekholm Posted February 23, 2021 Report Posted February 23, 2021 Ed your sword has what is called a kiritsuke mei (切付銘) added signature. Those are slightly different from original signature and they can be judged on their own. Sometimes when a sword passes shinsa with a kiritsuke mei that needs bit more research there can be a addon after it [と切付銘がある] which just means there is a kiritsuke mei but in this case they do not totally confirm it. Guido Posted March 2, 2021 Report Posted March 2, 2021 Unfortunately my friend is too busy to proofread my article at the moment - but I don’t want to let the NMB wait any longer, so here’s a tentative version, pending further corrections. @Brian: please feel free to upload it to the articles section. Expand I already uploaded two new versions, and am optimistic that we now arrived at the final one. A huge "thank you" goes to Barry Hennick and Robert Hughes for making valuable contributions.
