Hi Vittorio,

While WWII is possible I think it is more likely that this dates to post war, made to sell to a member of the occupation force who wanted something to take home.

Nah....looks exactly like what Grey mentioned. Awkward sugata. Soldiers dirk, shrine sale souvenir or post was trinket. Still real, just oil quenched and not from tamahagane.
