Christian, it looks to me like a somewhat faded(?) sashikomi style polish. But I've been pretty happy with it the way it is. If you squint really hard under the right light and angle, you can see faint wisps of nie/nioi connecting some of the tobiyaki heads to the hamon and even some kinsuji. Quote
