Bruce Pennington Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 The website discussing the Tenzoshan factory posted this blade as an example, and said the mei read "Tenzoshan Tarenjo" but it seems to me that it says more than that. Could I get the rest of the mei, please? I can see it's date is 1939. Thanks! Quote

Bazza Posted February 3, 2021 Report Posted February 3, 2021 I have a TENSHOZAN sword in Shingunto koshirae. The blade is 73.5 nagasa with little sori. It came to me as a wreck with a story, which I will tell in the dedicated Tenshozan thread sometime. I post this here to simply give the inscriptions for our scribes. NENGO is SHOWA 15th YEAR 6th MONTH LUCKY DAY = June1940 TACHI MEI is TENSHOZAN TANRENJO SAKU There are no other markings on the nakago, save for a tiny "nick" on the nakagojiri. BaZZa. 1 Quote
