I'm trying to buy this sword from a pawn shop.  He's less cluless than I and I know very little.  You guys helped me before and I need you again.  I forgot to get measurements and I don't have the sword in hand.  The signed damascus blade looks old but the handle looks much newer.  The wrap looks professional.  Perhaps a WWII officers family blade?  I could use help with maker ID, age of blade, scabbard info and if possible,  an approximate value range.  Thank you for your time and your help.

CHINESE FAKE.

RUN AWAY

Here is a website, have a look at the swords, study them. Japanese swords have nothing to do with these Chinese junks.

Thanks guys.  This is why I will seek help before shelling out the green.  I really appreciate the help.  I know he paid 150 when he bought it.  I will pay zero.  Thank you.

The quality looked sub par and the Tsuba looked like it was cast in kitty litter.  I should have known better on my own but needed the extra push.
