WOW no I mean WOW!! What a GREAT Sword. I would love to own that one. Thank you very much for sharing. The other stuff is Great two but the sword is Outstanding

Bruce sorry I am late getting back to you ..

Having just taken the sword apart I cannot see any markings only the name of the smith and the date the blade was forged …

Is it because the blade as high quality fittings compared to my other so called Type 3s that it could have been a private commission to make the sword reason behind it could be the family Mon badge attached to the sword ?

The kabutogane is pretty bare, so maybe late-war?

They had already translated the writing on the cover.  Looks like shipping/surrender info
