Butch Posted November 6, 2022 Report Posted November 6, 2022 Bruce sorry I am late getting back to you .. Having just taken the sword apart I cannot see any markings only the name of the smith and the date the blade was forged … Is it because the blade as high quality fittings compared to my other so called Type 3s that it could have been a private commission to make the sword reason behind it could be the family Mon badge attached to the sword ? Many thanks Gareth 1 1 Quote
Bruce Pennington Posted November 6, 2022 Author Report Posted November 6, 2022 Thanks for the update, Gareth! I think you’re right about it being a private order, or possibly it was sold through one of the many private shops. No worries about response time. The home life is first priority. Quote
Bruce Pennington Posted February 11 Author Report Posted February 11 Here's a partial one on a Type 95, found by @Beater 1 Quote
Bruce Pennington Posted October 14 Author Report Posted October 14 This one is on a mumei, star-stamped blade, found on this ima-usa.com site. The kabutogane is pretty bare, so maybe late-war? They had already translated the writing on the cover. Looks like shipping/surrender info 1 Quote
