Wangata bowl shape or just a bowl?

Found this on a Japanese auction site, what are your opinions? A true tsuba or a modified begging bowl?

There is no visible evidence that it has ever been mounted and is not decorated in anyway.

No, not a joke. Second item looks like a KORO (incense burner), but the first item is only half of it. Anyhow, nice design, lent from early TSUBA.

As an update the 'pot -lid' attracted 24 bids and sold for 16,000 yen. Someone thought it was good!
