E_Arroyes Posted September 1, 2020 Report Posted September 1, 2020 Hello everyone, I am looking for someone who can help me with the translation of two origami. I just learned that Sesko is no longer doing this job, so I'd like to find someone who can. Thank you Quote
Babu Posted September 1, 2020 Report Posted September 1, 2020 Markus can still do it, I believe just not free anymore for intricate translation. There are no images in your thread BTW. Quote
E_Arroyes Posted September 1, 2020 Author Report Posted September 1, 2020 Hi Adam, thanks for your reply. That was what I read on facebook. Of course, in the email I sent to Mr. Sesko, it was assumed that it was a paid job, as stipulated in the rates on their website. Thank you Quote
Gakusee Posted September 1, 2020 Report Posted September 1, 2020 Well, the thing is that these Origami follow a very standard, cookie-cutter approach and terminology. Once you see 3-5 translated a d know the main terms (kicho, Hozon, tokubetsu, mei, mumei, nagasa, bu, etc) you know what the origami is all about. The sayagaki are usuually more difficult, but they also follow a certain formula with the school/smith, length, date, 1 Quote
E_Arroyes Posted September 1, 2020 Author Report Posted September 1, 2020 Fortunately, Markus has responded and agreed to do the translation. He has confirmed that he effectively stops doing translations, so the post can be closed. Thank you all Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted September 1, 2020 Report Posted September 1, 2020 Yes, Markus sent out an email yesterday evening stating that he is out of the translation business, at least for now, effective today. So, you were lucky, Emilio. 1 Quote
