16k Posted August 16, 2020 Report Posted August 16, 2020 Could it be Namika no ju Tachibana yastsuna (settsu bunsei)? Quote

16k Posted August 16, 2020 Report Posted August 16, 2020 No, nothing more, sorry. A French référence book gives a listing of many swordsmiths active during the Shinshinto period and only lists two Yasutsuna. The other one uses different characters, so I suggested it might be this one. However, there’s no way for me to tell how exhaustive that list is. Have you tried here? https://nihontoclub.com/view/smiths/meisearch?type=All&mei_op=contains&mei=Yasutsuna Quote
chi fan wong Posted August 16, 2020 Report Posted August 16, 2020 Hawley has an entry on ichitosai yasutsuna from mino dated 1935. 1 Quote
Babu Posted August 16, 2020 Author Report Posted August 16, 2020 Gendaito Smith Chi Fan? The yasureme is consistent. Quote
Jussi Ekholm Posted August 16, 2020 Report Posted August 16, 2020 I think mei is 一刀斎安綱作 - and smith Ittōsai Yasutsuna. He was born 1924 and died 1990. Here is one reference sword: http://kako.nipponto.co.jp/swords2/KT215546.htm 4 Quote
Babu Posted August 16, 2020 Author Report Posted August 16, 2020 Gentlemen thank you that helps a lot. The mei is a bit different though. And that reference sword Jussi has a seki type stamp on it . Still looks traditional made though. This one is in it's original civilian mounts. Quote
