Sorry, Not  a sword but picked up with one and wondering if anyone could help with the inner info panel, looks to be a date and manufacture panel.

Hi Phil,

I can only help you with the manufacturing date.
二 Ni (2) 十 Ju (10) 年 Nen (year) 一 Ichi (1) 月 Gatsu (month)
Without era name I presume Showa, so 1926 + 20 -1= 1945, 1st month = January.

Don’t have much time, so in a hurry...

 

Underneath seems to be the measurement “寸法”,  (一) and the signature “記名”. Not sure (finished) about that...

The name of the sailor may be 'Suzuki Yoshimiya' (鈴木義宮) I'm not 100% on the last character though as the material is folded and doesn't present a clear view.
