Kuat, Go through the links at the page top of commercial sites. There are quite a few that deal with shinsakuto like Usagiya for example. They have quite a range in price and depending on what you will use them for a lot of choices. John

Got it, thanks a lot John.

I'm a new collector and i just want to own a real Japanese blade of exceptional quality and condition.

I'm still learning about antiques.

Yes i know.

BTW, why do you think they are so expensive? Because of the flawless condition of a new blade?

Og and If anyone know any other places besides Usagiya, please let me know :) \

Thanks.

To answer your previous question regarding why shinsakuto are so exspensive, I would guess it is simple.

Today's smith trying to make a living in a very exspensive world.

Just my guess for what it is worth.

I look at it like buying a car. the cost of a new car ( not counting the cheap models ) is so much. After you buy it, it then depreciates until it bottoms out. Then after many many years you reach antique status
