Bruce Pennington Posted July 5, 2020 Report Posted July 5, 2020 Came across this REALLY good video on the White Russian unit formed in Manchuria by the Japanese. It's full of tremendous history of the area. Plenty of glimses of swords, too. Manchukuo leader, Pu Yi, had a double-handed kyu that I would love to get my hands on! Enjoy: 8 Quote
Ontario_Archaeology Posted July 5, 2020 Report Posted July 5, 2020 He has a lot of great content on his channel and plenty of pictures and videos of swords "in the field" in his videos. Can't help but feel bad for the white Russians, seemed doomed where ever they went. 2 Quote

Bazza Posted July 8, 2020 Report Posted July 8, 2020 Good find Bruce, very "enjoyable"... The White Russians were a hard-done by lot. Mmmmmm... Turbulent and terrible times. BaZZa. Quote
Peter Bleed Posted July 8, 2020 Report Posted July 8, 2020 It may not be relevant, but I find it worth remembering that Russia imported a lot of Japanese rifles in WWI so that lots of fellows would have been familiar with Japanese gear. P 1 Quote
