Hi all,

I just bought this kai guntou tassel but by mounting it on my sword, I remarked it's particularely short... What do you think of that? Have you ever seen something like this? Has anyone doubts on its authenticity?

Note that as I bought it, there was no knot at the end to bind the two "pompoms" together. This shorten of course the lenght.

Many thanks in advance for helping.

What is the measurement for the length of the tassel. If I'm not mistaken I recall Bruce posting something from the war relics forums saying the navy tassels were shorter than army tassels, as I looked into it a couple months ago. I don't have the post bookmarked but I'm sure someone could find it

Many thanks Marc! I've been spaming this topic much more than you with my tries, so please don't apologize.

I'll post my picture in the other chat to see what is said.

Kind regards!

Raphael,

I'm not a tassel expert, but from what I see, it looks legit. While Nick's uncovered regulation states length requirements, I've found that the numerous fitting manunfacturers varied in many areas of war products. Here's a picture I posted on page 6 of that thread:

Hi Bruce,

Thank you for your answer. I can't find the thread you're talking about, do you have the link?

Also, on that page

you posted a part of an official regulation document. Do you have a copy of the hole document?
