PietroParis Posted March 27, 2021 Author Report Posted March 27, 2021 A mumei tsuba from eBay, very similar to one signed Tatsunao shown in the previous page (see link). If I'm not mistaken, the NBTHK paper classifies it as 武州 Bushu: Quote
PietroParis Posted April 1, 2021 Author Report Posted April 1, 2021 Priced an arm and a leg on eBay, an unusual tsuba with rice bale design signed Tatsutoshi: 1 Quote
PietroParis Posted April 2, 2021 Author Report Posted April 2, 2021 This tsuba signed Namitoshi is currently being offered by three (!) different sellers on eBay, it must be a re-sale from Yahoo Japan. Relatively cheap but, alas, in terrible condition: Quote
PietroParis Posted April 28, 2021 Author Report Posted April 28, 2021 A nice Tatsutoshi just showed up in another NMB thread: https://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/topic/35568-museum-book-mei-translations/?do=findComment&comment=367781 Quote
Mantis dude Posted April 29, 2021 Report Posted April 29, 2021 Coincidentally i just found this, although i didn't really look at the signature and compare how it looks to other mei. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n506844828 1 Quote

PietroParis Posted July 25, 2021 Author Report Posted July 25, 2021 Tasutoshi tsuba as part of a rather dilapidated package on Yahoo Japan: Quote
PietroParis Posted July 25, 2021 Author Report Posted July 25, 2021 That badly scratched Namitoshi shown a few posts above is on sale again, with a new set of dark pictures trying to conceal the condition (left: old pic; right: new pic) Quote
GRC Posted July 25, 2021 Report Posted July 25, 2021 Is Efu a province or a family name? I've seen a few "Efu" tsuba online and was wondering what/who it was. Quote
PietroParis Posted July 25, 2021 Author Report Posted July 25, 2021 Efu (also read Kofu) means Edo. See e.g. this thread: https://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/topic/18066-tsuba-translation/ Quote
PietroParis Posted July 30, 2021 Author Report Posted July 30, 2021 Noshi-themed tsuba signed Namitoshi. It just sold quite cheap on Catawiki, but it looks in bad condition and possibly depatinated: 1 Quote

PietroParis Posted December 3, 2021 Author Report Posted December 3, 2021 From Yahoo! Japan, a tanto-sized tsuba signed Tatsutoshi: 2 Quote
Surfson Posted December 3, 2021 Report Posted December 3, 2021 That page from Markus' book indicates that Akao and Ito are similar lineages, which resolves my earlier questions. I like the work a lot. 1 Quote
JohnTo Posted December 4, 2021 Report Posted December 4, 2021 Hi Guys, I've been out of action for a while and missed this post. But here is one of mine, a tsuba signed Efu ju Namitoshi. Signature looks with the ones shown above and design of bamboo seems to have been a favourite of Namitoshi. This tsuba came from the Peter Newall collection an antique dealer and artist whose collection lay undisturbed in a loft for 30 years after his death (luckily it was not damp)., Best regards, John 1 Quote

Geraint Posted February 3, 2022 Report Posted February 3, 2022 Just one more to share, the noshi theme in another version by Masatoshi. Noysure where he fits into the lineage. All the best. 1 Quote

PietroParis Posted March 16, 2022 Author Report Posted March 16, 2022 Another tsuba on eBay whose style looks familiar even if the signature 宜壽 Yoshitoshi is not in Markus Sesko's lineage for the Akao & Ito school: Quote

PietroParis Posted July 5, 2022 Author Report Posted July 5, 2022 One more from Yahoo! Japan. The seppa dai is heavily corroded, but the Hozon certificate attributes it to Tatsutoshi: Quote
