Oshy Posted June 5, 2020 Report Posted June 5, 2020 As promised, here are some individual pictures of my recent acquisitions in better detail, hope my photography is up to par. I realize nothing super amazing here, very budget oriented collection, trying to save $ for blades after all but attempting to get a little representation of everything. Please enjoy! Edit: Looks like they are uploading a bit out of order for some reason, adding external link too https://imgur.com/a/KfgmGY1 10 Quote

Oshy Posted June 5, 2020 Author Report Posted June 5, 2020 Hi Rich, the Daisho is Shoami Signed and dated: Yoshu Matsuyama Ju Shoami Moriyoshi saku. Living in songshan mountain in yuzhou. Anei period, one lucky day in February 1780 (豫州松山住人 正阿弥盛祥作 安永九庚子歳二月吉祥日) Im told the kanji scattered about are stylized versions of "kotobuki" meaning longevity Quote
vajo Posted June 5, 2020 Report Posted June 5, 2020 I like that hozon papered kyu sukashi. They were made around kyoto from different schools. I have two of this and buy when i see one and they look never identical. Sometimes one of these pob up with gold and silver inlays. They look very nice mounted. Photo is made through glas. The patina is deep brown on both. 1 Quote
