This is 須恵器 Sue Pottery, a precursor to Bizen ware. A friend who works in the construction industry found this during building work in the main park of our city. Nara/Heian? A 平瓶 Heihei. Iekatsu Posted May 19, 2020 Report Posted May 19, 2020 There are some great fittings in this thread, three of mine that would be categorised as Kagami-shi. 7 Quote
Tim Evans Posted May 24, 2020 Report Posted May 24, 2020 Small cast bronze tsuba of ascending and descending dragons. These are usually classed as kagamishi, but who knows who made them. Dating on these early cast tsuba is speculative, but this one was tagged as Nambokucho period in the 2019 KTK catalog. Photo credit: RKG. Tim 2 Quote
