Ford Hallam Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 aw...thanks chaps ....it's nice to be appreciated . At least you know I'm not all bad I appreciate the compliment, Jean...but I fear I still have a very long way to go. I'll keep at it though regards, Ford Quote
Jean Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 It was not a compliment Ford but just a statement, you are probably the best teacher in Tosogu techniques I have ever seen. (OTOH, you are the only one I know :D :D ) Knowledge is nothing if you cannot share it (selfishness). Being an expert does not imply automatically one being a good teacher (I know what I am talking about having teached different disciplines for years) Quote
Bungo Posted December 4, 2008 Author Report Posted December 4, 2008 that's laying it on a bit thick. Secret Agent Man................. Ford, another question. Since ( in the case of my koz ) the " silver fill " has patinated to almost same patina as the underlying shibuchi, should i " polish " the decorative motif " to make it stand out ? That can't be the original intent of the maker ( to make the decoration disappear ), right ? milt Quote
Jean Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Quote that's laying it on a bit thick. Secret Agent Man................. I state what I think ...G-man But your question is very good : For my kozuka, what is the best way to clean it and have the dragon "standing out"? Quote
