some help with a Japanese pottery bowl

looking for any Japanese  pottery experts out there .

 

 

I have had  this bowl for well over 25yrs , and due to the lock down i have been re  looking at some of my Japanese collectables again in a different light , i.e. cleaning  them all.

 

anyone  recognise the potters name or style or age of the bowl .

I looked here for the potter's seal but could not find it. Maybe it's not a famous potter...

 

Anyway, if none of the experts in this forum can help, you might want to try the Facebook group "Japanese STUDIO POTTERY collectors".

thanks for the link ,checked it out,  i could not find the pottery on that site either   , another member here has suggested an other forum to check  , waiting to see if anything develops .

the red seal is 

柏陶窯之印　Kashiwa tōyō no in (seal of Kashiwa kiln)

Umm, what happens if you photograph them upside down???  Seems an easy experiment...

When I encounter this problem, I edit the picture on my computer/phone, rotate it 360 degrees (i.e., back to the original orientation) and save it again. Usually this works for me.

tried all  that , just sometimes  the picture saved cropped /rotated  just does not want comply,  ??

If you edit on phone or pc and save it, it will upload correctly.

I have that same issue sometimes, Ray. It's the right way on the PC or phone and then for no reason it flips when uploaded.

It's been discussed many times. It is a cellphone thing. Even if the pic looks right on your cell, the data it contains will sometimes flip it.
Edit the pic on your cell, even if you change nothing. Save it. Then upload.
