Hi , I would like to know if you have mokume gane tosogu in your collections. I have just purchased a kozuka made with this design of mixed metals. Is it rare as I do not see so many tsuba and kozuka made under this technic?

Thank you

Bruno

At some point, years ago now, I considered buying a mokume gane kozuka. If memory serves, what triggered an interest at the time was an article written about how they are made and (I think) a contemporary maker. Sorry, I cannot recall where the article was published/posted. Perhaps someone with a clearer memory can remember more detail about the article which may be of interest.

Hi Bruno,

That's an very nice kozuka. Mokume gane is a very interesting technique. I have a wakizashi with a fuchi kashira made in mokume gane. You can find the link here.
