Caracal Posted March 10, 2020 Report Posted March 10, 2020 Hi all, Need help with school and tsuba maker. All info of interest // Robert Quote
FlorianB Posted March 11, 2020 Report Posted March 11, 2020 Not my special field but to me it looks like a Choshu or Bushu specimen from Edo era. So I would research in these directions. To differentiate between both schools is difficult (sometimes even impossible), but it is said that a blackish colour of the steel and a similar design on both sides would hint to Choshu.Florian BTW Your Tsuba topics would fit better in the Tosogu section to gain more attention. Ken-Hawaii Posted March 23, 2020 Report Posted March 23, 2020 Robert, next time, you should post tsuba in the Tosogu section. Quote
Spartancrest Posted March 24, 2020 Report Posted March 24, 2020 There is a very similar tsuba for auction, The flowers in this case held in a basket. https://www.jauce.com/auction/r388661477. Quote
SalaMarcos Posted March 30, 2020 Report Posted March 30, 2020 Seems Chôshû tsuba, late XVIII century I guess. Quote
