zook Posted February 12, 2020 Report Posted February 12, 2020 Which one of these things doesn't belong? (OK, some of you will say the Type 32 ) .... anyway ... I try to live by a simple rule when doing sword maintenance ... make sure I am home ALONE when I do it. I had to break the rule this week because I have a bunch of students coming by to view the collection, so I pulled out a portion of my stash and placed on a table. What happens? ... WIFE WALKS IN. - there is something psychological about all the swords in one place (usually I have them tucked in many corners on stands). Anyway, I start getting the sarcastic jabs - "Hey, if you sell that table we can take a vacation to the Bahamas ... for a few weeks" ... things like that. Just some humor for your day .... Bruce Pennington Posted February 12, 2020 Report Posted February 12, 2020 Sheesh Dan! My wife has even proposed I sell all my gunto to pay for the motorcycle I need to buy!!! What was she thinking?!?! To answer your question - if you claim the knee mortar is just a saya for a really short, fat tanto, then it can stay! 1 Quote

lonely panet Posted February 12, 2020 Report Posted February 12, 2020 Kai is the odd one out, but like a mate said to his wife each time she complains. "Your just as replaceable as my last piece" Always enough to break the mood 2 Quote
monkeyboy Posted February 12, 2020 Report Posted February 12, 2020 "Which one of these things doesn't belong?" The new pull tab on the Type 89! Seriously though, nice collection. Jon 2 Quote
Bazza Posted February 12, 2020 Report Posted February 12, 2020 As my Dear Wife turns a (grudging, I'm sure) blind eye to my propensity to drain the Treasury, as a compliment to her I've started saying "I collect because my Wife lets me..." BaZZa. 1 Quote
