Hi all,

Some of you may have noticed that Stephen has decided to take a break from moderating, and due to the stress and personal reasons, he has stepped down as a mod. I would like to thank him hugely for all his help. He has been here since the beginning, and has been a huge help to me and the forum. I do hope things go better for you Stephen, and really hope you will remain on the forum, although with much less stress. On behalf of everyone, I send you a huge thanks and best wishes.

After much arm-twisting, I would like to welcome Ted Tenold on board as a moderator. Most of you will know of Ted and his website http://www.legacyswords.com/ and he is also involved with Keith Larman in http://www.moderntosho.com

Ted is a polisher and restorer, and a true gentleman. His work comes highly regarded and he is an excellent addition to the team.

I would like to welcome Ted to the moderating team, and do take note of the fact that due to his hectic schedule, he will not always be around as much as he would like.

Ted has mine and Guido's support and although he known as a "nice guy" I am sure we will have him cracking the whip soon :D You don't have to be as scared of him as Guido...but I am sure he will learn fast :glee:

Please join me in welcoming Ted, and thanking Stephen for all of his very hard work in the past.

Regards,

Brian

Stephen was always a good presence in and out of the scenes. I very much hope that you (Stephen) will continue to be a beneficial presence here in some kind of seamless way. :thanks:

At the same time I am happy to welcome Ted and hope that he will dispense justice and fairness with a sharp and polished sword, gently oiled with wisdom.

Thank you Brian for your kind words, and all for your warm welcome. Stephen, thank you for contributing your time and efforts for this long, as you have been here for such a long time. That kind of commitment is admirable and appreciated.

I will do my best to help the team and contribute to an already valuable and enjoyable learning place for everyone.

I am still moving around my one hundred boxes trying to unpack (50 m3 ...), no internet available yet, too much work ...

Nevertheless, a warm welcome to Ted in his new job and a very very special thought to Stephen who has been for years a no nonsense moderator, may you fare well my friend in a near future
