Ray Singer Posted January 17, 2020 Report Posted January 17, 2020 Your sword appears to have a kinzoganmei (gold inlaid attribution) to Nagamitsu. This attribution is purporting to have been done by a member of the Hon'ami family. 長光造 (Nagamitsu tsukuru) Quote
Grey Doffin Posted January 17, 2020 Report Posted January 17, 2020 Hi Ray, Are you sure this is kin-zogan and not shu-mei (lacquer)? Grey Quote
Ray Singer Posted January 17, 2020 Report Posted January 17, 2020 It looked to me like a very dirty kinzogan-mei. You may be right, not absolutely sure. If lacquer though, it would be a kinpun-mei rather than a shu-mei. Quote
