brillone Posted September 26, 2008 Author Report Posted September 26, 2008 No problem, its good that people write when they think that something fishy is going on. Do anyone of you guys know how long the shipping takes with ems from usa to sweden or atleast europe? cause the sword i have bought was sent from the us on the 24 this month but the tracking number i have doesnt seem to have any info. This make me suspicious Quote
Brian Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Joakim, I thought the sword you bought was from Japan? EMS usually takes about 5 working days, so about a week in total. The tracking number should show on the USPS website (2 letters, then 9 numbers followed by US) but won't track every step of the way usually. It should show as sent though. Why from the USA? Brian Quote
pcfarrar Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 You should be able to track it every step of the way if you use your local delivery companies website. This website will give you your local delivery company. http://www.track-trace.com/post EMS from Japan to the UK can quite often take less than 3 days (assuming no customs interference). Quote
brillone Posted September 26, 2008 Author Report Posted September 26, 2008 Yeah its like this i bought the sword from kanetoyo who is in Japan but the sword i bought is a sword who earlier sold on ebay but the buyer changed his mind about it when he got the sword. So its the old buyer who lives in the us that is the one sending me the sword. I got the ems tracking today from kanetoyo and he said that the old buyer sent it the 24 and he also gave me EB517761398US cause its supposed to be the tracking number. But there is no information on it on there website so im starting to suspect that there is something wrong here. I mean i dont think kanetoyo is trying to hustle me but this american guy can be the one trying to get his money back from kanetoyo and keeping the sword also. Something just seems wierd when the tracking number doesnt seem to exist. Quote
brillone Posted September 26, 2008 Author Report Posted September 26, 2008 Now i found this on the site peter linked Label/Receipt Number: EB51 7761 398U S Status: International Dispatch Your item left the United States from ISC SAN FRANCISCO (USPS) at 12:59 PM on September 25, 2008. Brian Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 Jeez....is everything you do this complicated? Good grief. Anyways, with that info you just got, everything should be just fine. Phone your customs on Tues or Wed and they should tell you it is there. Brian Quote

brillone Posted September 27, 2008 Author Report Posted September 27, 2008 http://www.nihontocraft.com/Izumi_no_Kami_Kunisada_mei.html I found some info here on nihontocraft is this the kunisada that made my sword? I mean the mei on my sword is Kawachi Daijyo Fujiwara no Kunisada. And as someone wrote earlier KUNISADA KAWACHI NO DAIJÔ [KANBUN 1661 IWASHIRO] SHINTÔ CHÛSAKU He was the tôshô of Aizu, his initial mei was KUNISADA [TN], and he died in the last year of Kanbun (1673). Signature: KAWACHI NO DAIJÔ KUNISADA KUNISADA KAWACHI NO KAMI [JÔKYÔ 1684 IWASHIRO] SHINTÔ CHÛSAKU He is called Furukawa Magodayu, and he died in Genroku Ninen (1689). (Wazamono) Signature: KAWACHI NO KAMI FUJIWARA KUNISADA Wich one of them could it be? The mei has DAIJÔ in it but kanetoyo also wrote that he was called Furukawa Magodayu. If antone could help me with this i will be really thankfull. I have also bought my first book now its The Japanese sword by Kanzan Sato, hopefully i will have it in my mail this week. Quote
brillone Posted September 28, 2008 Author Report Posted September 28, 2008 Nobody who can help me with this? And if i understood it right the book i bought is a good starter book? Quote
Jacques Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 Hi, No, Izumi no kami Kunisada is not the smith who made your sword (he was the father of Inoue Shinkai and lived in Settsu). About your smith i can only say that says Fujishiro. Kawashi Daijo Fujiwara Kunisada should be the first Kunisada. He died in 1673 and he is not called Furukawa Magodayu. It seems Kanetoyo (who says he died in 1660) does not know very much on him. Quote
brillone Posted September 28, 2008 Author Report Posted September 28, 2008 Jacques D That was what i thought also. To bad he is so hard finding info about. Quote
