Vermithrax16 Posted January 10, 2020 Report Posted January 10, 2020 I was off from work December 20th to January 6th. The break was much needed! It's nice to just have all your collection out for inspection and whatever cleaning and checking they all need. Every time I see something new. I find new wonder. A little wonder is sometimes a huge thing and I think nihonto delivers that. And so much more. Plus if you are from a cold climate (I am from Northeast USA) it's a great time to check the room humidity and adjust with a sonic humidifier if needed. In my den it's always needed. It's 20% or less humidity here in winter without some kind of remedy. I feel we all spend so much time chasing things, maybe we don't spend enough time on what we have. I was very happy to hang out with this crew: 5 Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted January 10, 2020 Report Posted January 10, 2020 Nice collection layout, Jeremiah! Quote
Vermithrax16 Posted January 10, 2020 Author Report Posted January 10, 2020 I have opposite issues as you Ken as far as humidity! It's good and rewarding to have it all out; to see and appreciate. We all work for what we have, but seldom really appreciate it. 1 Quote

Greg F Posted January 11, 2020 Report Posted January 11, 2020 Very nice collection Jeremiah. Would love some tsuba close ups and to see the blades with a little info. I think Stephens tsuba would look good in any collection. Greg 1 Quote
Vermithrax16 Posted January 11, 2020 Author Report Posted January 11, 2020 Greg, Every piece on that table has been written up here on NMB with excellent pics (IMO lol). Dig a bit and you can check it all out. 1 Quote
Austus Posted January 11, 2020 Report Posted January 11, 2020 Okay, Jeremiah and Guido, you guys are funny! I looked at the list of your previous posts hoping to find those blades; but it's quite a list. Could you point out which ones contained the blades? Quote

I was just joking, no offense meant. Quote
Austus Posted January 12, 2020 Report Posted January 12, 2020 Thank You, Jeremiah, for providing those links. The Norikatsu is a stunner, indeed. Unfortunately, the Hosho/Tegai link didn't work. I will try and find it via search. Maybe you should post them here... I'm sure that many others would enjoy seeing these high quality blades! No offense taken, BTW. It was pretty funny. Quote
Jean Posted January 12, 2020 Report Posted January 12, 2020 Austus, There is a search button at the top of the page... Just as a teaser, you will find it here: http://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/topic/17414-achieved-collection-gokaden/page-1 Quote
Austus Posted January 13, 2020 Report Posted January 13, 2020 Thanks, Jean, I did notice that search button. Probably should have typed in the entire link, instead of just part of it. But then, I would have missed that additional link you provided. What a gorgeous lineup! The only good reason to let go of a masterpiece is to get one better, or more to your liking. In the process, Jeremiah's dream came true, too. Everybody wins! 2 Quote
