Blazeaglory Posted January 24, 2020 Report Posted January 24, 2020 Can't believe this hasn't sold yet Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted January 24, 2020 Report Posted January 24, 2020 Does seem a bit strange. Do people realize that tanto are worth half as much as katana, & often just as much? Quote
Blazeaglory Posted January 25, 2020 Report Posted January 25, 2020 Remember this for any of the new "looking for first blade" threads. Quote
Pika007 Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 I think you can point the finger to the mei/paper craze on many groups. they are being discussed more than the actual blades these days. (Yes, i am aware this is dirt cheap either way!) 1 Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 Ofek, I hope that you're aware that buying a blade for its mei, is similar to buying a car because you like the feel of the name of its model on your tongue. Considering the significant portion of blades that are gimei, you would have to be really dumb not to pay attention to the characteristics of the blade, itself. 1 Quote
Greg F Posted January 26, 2020 Report Posted January 26, 2020 Excellent blade to study at that price Ray. Anyone looking for a first blade or someone on a budget would be silly to miss this. Greg Quote

That was exactly the point i was making. Gimei aside, you should buy a blade for the blade, not for the name slapped on it or the paper that comes with it. Unfortunately, in many places the focus of the discussion is names rather than blades. Quote

Dude you just described 75% of the people in my neighborhood. 700$ monthly payment for a Benz or BMW meanwhile its 4 seats and a steering wheel, 2x the price of normal cars outside of Europe and over engineered/over priced! Imagine trying to be different by driving the same car as everyone around you lol Quote
