jelda44 Posted January 6, 2020 Report Posted January 6, 2020 Hello friends, I am asking you to inquire about kinzogan mei. Do you know anyone what its meaning is ? 袖之雪 Thank you for your help Jiri Quote
Gakusee Posted January 6, 2020 Report Posted January 6, 2020 This must be the sword name, something to do with snow/yuki 雪. Wondering if it also has anything to do with a test cut (tameshigiri), known as sodesuri (袖スリ, “wrist rubbing”)? 袖 is sode, isn’t it? As in the kimono sleeve Quote
Ed Posted January 6, 2020 Report Posted January 6, 2020 Where did you get Yasutsugu? The papers say Shimosaka, not Yasutsugu. Yasutsugu did sign with Shimosaka early on, but not simply shimosaka. There were many smiths who used the prefix shimosaka. 1 Quote
