TheGermanBastard Posted December 23, 2019 Author Report Posted December 23, 2019 Hello Hamfish, yes I will use them for storing some blades where they will get split. cleaned and adjusted by a craftman. So basically they would serve a replacment for Honoki wood which has become sometimes difficult to obtain in recent yeas. Since an existing Shirasaya is in most cases not a good match one needs a larger number of Shirasayas in the hope to find a workable one for a specific blade. Hence it only makes sense if they are priced at a reasonable cost. I have some swords which hands down are an econmic Harakiri to get restored but still are too good to let them sit to rust to death so one has to make ends meet.
