Renato Posted December 22, 2019 Report Posted December 22, 2019 Hello, first of all Merry Christmas to everyone. I got an Akasaka tsuba with the classical 32 arrow feathers pattern, very similar to the Ashmolean museum one - 79 x 71 mm - 5mm tick at the nakago with squared-rounded mimi. Unfortunately it's badly rusted and the mei is quite worn. (Picture is the best I could do...) Considering the very thin mei and the yahadzu pattern which Tadatoki could be in Your opinion? The sixt? Thanks Renato Quote
ROKUJURO Posted December 22, 2019 Report Posted December 22, 2019 I think I can read BUSHU no JU.....but for the rest you will need the help of our experts - or a SHINSA. Quote
Bazza Posted December 22, 2019 Report Posted December 22, 2019 To be more helpful how about a pic of both sides of the tsuba, please?? BaZZa. 1 Quote
Renato Posted December 22, 2019 Author Report Posted December 22, 2019 At a close ispection you can read "Bushu ju Akasaka Tadatoki saku"; there are some 6th Tadatoki mei that have instead "Bushu ju Akasaka" on the Omote and "Tadatoki saku" on Ura side.ù Here the red ghost! The opposite face is the same.... Quote
