OnTime2Day Posted December 15, 2019 Report Posted December 15, 2019 Happy Holidays all! This is a used, worn-out blade I purchased long ago. Any thoughts on age, smith, school, etc...? Worth investigating further? Looks like it certainly had a rough life. Interesting Menuki... Very hard to see the Hamon, possibly Suguha Over-sized, worn-out paperweight? Quote
ChrisW Posted December 15, 2019 Report Posted December 15, 2019 Rough life indeed! It looks like it has kizu up and down the blade. Looks Shinto, but just a novice here. Quote

SAS Posted December 22, 2019 Report Posted December 22, 2019 Shinto mumei wakizashi, needs a polish to say more, unlikely to be worth the cost of restoration. It had a rough life indeed. 2 Quote
OnTime2Day Posted December 23, 2019 Author Report Posted December 23, 2019 Thank you Steve. Seems pretty old, seen some battles. Shinto covers a lot of years. Has been fun learning more and more about Nihonto. Ryan Quote
Jean Posted December 23, 2019 Report Posted December 23, 2019 Ryan, Same remark, please gather your pictures in one post... Quote
